Mission
Our goal is to make games that everyone can play, with gameplay nobody has seen before.
Studio Profile
2D BOY was born in October 2006, in San Francisco, California. As two guys who quit their big game industry jobs to go make their own game, 2D BOY works out of living rooms, coffee shops, public libraries, and anywhere else that has free WiFi. No office, no budget, no design documents, just a whole lot of love.
World of Goo is 2D BOY’s first game.
Developer Bios
Kyle Gabler
Kyle Gabler was one of the guys behind the Experimental Gameplay Project, as well as a former game designer and magic rapid prototyper with Maxis/EA. Space Quest IV is Kyle’s favorite game, but playing with the level editor in Duke Nukem 3D will always stick in his mind as his favorite gaming moment.
Ron Carmel
Ron Carmel was previously a game developer with EA's pogo.com. Before that, he developed visual fx software and immersive haptic simulations. When he’s not busy reminding himself that “the cake is a lie,” Ron claims his best gaming moment to be taking over the notorious 999 droid in Paradroid on the Commodore 64.
